So I lost about 12 lbs over 2 months in the exam period, down to 158. 15 days ago I started back eating 3000 cals a day and going gym 6 times a week, with hardly any cardio. I've started taking creatine again, about 7000mg a week, and I've been drinking a lot of water.

In the last 15 days I've apparently put on 10 lbs, so I'm only 2 lbs less than what I was originally. How much of it could be water weight?

I guess I ate a lot today which may have shifted the scales up lb or 2, and I may have been getting something like 3200 cals as opposed to 3000. Still wouldn't account for 12 lbs gain though

yeah, a lot of weight change is possible... youre using creatine which causes weight increase (anabolic steroid effects + water weight) and there are a lot of factors... you may be eating big meals recently --> your large intestine is carrying a lot more weight than previously.

So a tired, hungry, dehydrated post-exam version of you weighed a lot less... your muscles probably looked depressing without their normal "6 time per week" pump flowing through, but as soon as you filled your belly with some food and drink, turned down for what and started exercising while on that cell-tech you probably gained massively.

tl;dr... still scrawny, but less dehydrated

that's pretty much to the letter, i think the dehydration must have been the main factor

I feel you, but I don't cycle on/off it when gymming, so there is cumulative build up in my bloodstream

Doesn't matter you shouldn't cycle creatine anyways. 7grams a week isn't effective at all 5g a day for life. One of the cheapest supplements, no reason to be skimming the serving size

I take the pill form which recommends 2-3 a day (700 mg pills). I know people take 5g a day usually, but as low as 3g is often mentioned too. I feel the effects of it quite a lot, so never felt the need to increase it.

Your body can't absorb any more than 5gr of creatine over 24 hours.

I was new to creatine before I started training. Before I used it, I checked it out. I suggest you to do the same before commenting on it :(

dro94, immediate weight increase is common when you start using creatine. Your amount over 15 days is immense. I'm not sure, but I measured my weight every week when I started creatine. I went up 6lbs...

Went up 6 lbs in a week? and I think he means that because it increases your performance i.e. more reps, it increases the amount of muscle you can potentially gain, so it has an indirect anabolic effect as opposed to a direct effect.
