when i used to go to the gym lifting heavy weights i have noised that after i stop lifting for few weeks or more id deflate big time and lose shape etc... but when i stopped going to the gym and started training thai boxing, doing lots of circuit training, strength conditioning etc... even if i stop training for a month or more id always stay in a good shape dont matter what. Im not quite sure why is that?

Same happens for me. I prefer the latter to be honest. It's harder to maintain swole since I travel a lot. Ain't got time for gains

From my experience you start losing gains after 2 weeks of doing nothing but as you said you are not doing nothing. You probably are losing muscle mass but with these kind of activities you most likely lose fat at an higher rate hence why you look in good shape.

You're doing heavy conditioning when training thai so you'll just get cut up.
