What kinds of supplements can help? If any, what food do they usually come from and is it available off the shelf as supplements?

Thanks

There's this shampoo/conditioner that I've started using and it's called Nioxin. I noticed my hair was starting to thin around my crown and everyone has mentioned that it looks thicker (since I've started using it, which has been ~1 month).

Everybody I know that has started using it has said their hair just feels healthier overall (it apparently provides a healthy environment for hair growth by cleaning out all the other garbage from generic shampoos/conditioners). My hair feels super silky now as well, but the only downside is that it's pretty expensive ($50 for a ~1L bottle) and you should probably get the Shampoo AND Conditioner (which will end up being >$100). My bottles have lasted over a month so far, and I share it with my girlfriend, so it's not too bad.

Rogain has been proven to work, so there's always that as well.
