i'm not like gasping for air i can breathe normal it's just i can feel a pressure and when i take a deep breath i have a shortness of breath like i'm sick

my normal routine is hit the gym warm up with some basketball hit the weights go swimming come home drink my protein and skim milk.

when i lay down it becomes hard to breathe until i like get used to the pressure it feel like it's in my esophagus at the bottom of my neck top of my chest area. i was trying to read about it maybe i am allergic to the protein (i doubt it cuz i've been taking it for a few weeks now and it's only recently started to hurt my throat) or maybe that i chug the protein drink too fast which i thought i went pretty slow. lastly could it just be from breathing too hard during cardio? i'm not in great shape and i definitely push myself quite a bit.

any ideas?

Could be throat problems. Check with your doctor.

I once pulled a muscle in my chest / core (does that make sense?) after some heavy chest flies and filling my lungs with air and thus expanding my chest was very hurtful the next couple of days.

Goes over in 4 days or so.

Your protein drink has nothing to do with it. An allergy would indicate total shutdown of your immune system, an intolerance would be more reasonable.
