Hey boys

I recently have started working out again, only ~4 days a week since my schedule is fucked up.

I was hoping you guys have some tips for losing weight.

I am 6 2 and weigh 285

Played Lacrosse and Football in high school (turn 21 in a week) and played right around 255

Looking to at least get to 255. I despise running unless its at the gym watching ESPN or some shit.

Obviously am doing alot of cardio but are there any tips for diet/other calisthenics?

Also, do people do like progress threads for extra support/self observations?

thanks guys!

track what you eat and go from there, if you're already active you just need to get your diet in order

progress threads are good, as long as you are making progress!

eat less calories, drink only water and do more cardio, it's that simple. Just be sure your burning off more calories than you take in and you will lose weight.

Why would you want to remain that big if you aren't competing anymore?
Aim for a solid 220 hell even 210 is good.
If you don't like running do a spin class, or if you really want to get lose weigh, become defined, and not waste time just swim.
Best conditioning for your body by far.

As for your diet...
Avoid carbs, eat greens, eliminate anything processed, cut down massive on sugar.
Have "reward" days when you've done good. Everything is about moderation!

get yourself into a caloric deficit, meaning you'll be eating enough to not be starving but not enough to be in a calorie surplus

so for 285~ pounds that'd be around 3000 cals i believe, if that doesn't work drop it down a little and keep tabs on if you're making progress (check scale in the morning / on empty stomach)

also 4 days a week may be overkill especially for your goals, you could even loose the weight by diet alone, but training regularly like that will defiantly help the progress. just don't burn yourself out, have fun with it

cheat days cause eating disorders , with your regularity of training you'll be fine to sneak in foods you like here and there and be 100% on track with your progress

gl bro & don't forget to have fun with it!
