What's the best way to perform flies for hypertrophy?
Slight incline -- Is the clavicular portion of the pectoralis major even targeted significantly enough to actually make a noticeable difference?
Cables -- sitting or standing
Dumbbells
Pec Deck lol
The plane of movement is relatively the same in all of them. I understand EMG studies aren't notoriously accurate, but surely there have been some solid studies that indicate which activity produces the most stimuli/benefit.
I feel like dumbbells are best, with an incline if you don't have any other incline work. Although some people boast a better stretch from cables.. Anyone shed some light on this?
*Side blinder: what's a great direct hammy exercise for strength?
