My roommate made noodles, ate half of it, and then says to me "Why am I eating this?! It's so acidic. I need to balance out my ph."

He gets up and dumps out the other half of his noodles. He now is obsessed with an alkaline diet.

How do I save his poor soul?

Oh and after he did this, he left for work and said he was picking up Popeye's on the way.

yeah man, this is usually a female issue.

though, who knows, "pH balance" just might be a thing for general good health in both genders. i wouldn't know, have never seen it in all the reading about nutrition i've ever done, and never heard such things come from a dude before.

ask him what the deal is and get back to us lol

He's just one of those sheep who believe nonsense that is spewed. He believes in the whole can't have more than 30g of protein at a time or however much it is and all that kind of shit.

He thinks he put on 30 pounds of muscle in like 6 months haha.

Ph balance is not an issue for healthy individuals. There are many systems in place to regulate acid base chemistry in the body

Sounds like he needs a slap upside the head and an intervention.
