Sup guys, got a sharp pain on the right shoulder, where shoulder meets the end of my trap, kind of in the front. I'd been out of the gym for maybe a week total (heavy lifting, always do some small weight conditioning, but I don't really count this).

As a side note, we'll say I am on a 'trt' dose of test, a series of unfortunate events happened, and I couldn't get my dose in for about 19 days compared to my regular 7 days. During that time I didn't lift super hard and try to max out, just did my regular. Anyways, I did bench 4 days ago, no pain, hit my regular numbers no problem, did shoulders tri's two days after (two days ago) and took a break yesterday. Just went to hit chest again tonight, on my warm up (135x20) I was noticing pain in my right shoulder where I described. It was only on the down motion (I pause @ bottom) that I was getting this pain. It's not a sharp excruciating pain, but a pain I've never felt before and it only got worse, but when I did 180x10, it wasn't as noticeable, on some reps wasn't even there, but I felt like I could be hurting myself so I got pissed and called it quits for the night. I did take my 300mg test shot tonight before the gym.

I'm usually not very sore after my workouts, no matter how hard I train, I recover fast, but the tri's are way more sore than I've really ever experienced in a long time and I didn't even go that hard on them. I realize not getting my test effects recovery time, but did missing my dosage for so long maybe make my muscles degenerate in my shoulder, or put more strain on them to recover? It's not both shoulders, just my right, and frankly I am pissed because if I injured my rotator cuff then fuck me.

Thoughts? Don't want to injure myself further if possible

supraclavicular impingement

mobilize and avoid loading until pain is gone for a few days, then slowly work up

I only get pain when it's under load. Doing all sorts of stretches I'm not feeling anything

Should I avoid all weight for a few days, or just stretch w/o ?

Thanks for the reply man

I had a similar problem with my right shoulder. Pain only set in at bottom of bench reps during warm ups. To fix the problem I quit doing everything that causes discomfort until the problem went away.

If bench causes pain, I stop doing bench.
If flyes cause pain, I stop doing flyes

It got better after a few weeks.

This seems very common sense, but it has worked for me especially for my lower back issues. Also I do not have a medical background.

Seems super straight forward, I figured as well, but I didn't know if the stoppage of AAS had any direct correlation to it. That's literally the only thing that's changed and I'm getting this soreness now. I've always felt like my right shoulder is kind of double jointed in the sense that I can flex differently than my left, hard to explain.

But thanks for the info on your recovery, hope your back stays copacetic

does flexing the shoulder to or above 90 and rotating the humerus hurt at all? just based on the location of the pain its very likely a sc impingement but not necessarily.
