The one I'm currently using is True Athlete Natural Whey Protein, I've been using it for awhile but all of a sudden I started getting this weird ass rash on my hand and arm and I am no longer using it.

My question is, is there a powder that doesn't have a bunch of added shit, or a really good brand that's reputable? If not I think I'm just going to get all my sources from food... What can you guys say?

Also, I'm like 5'8, 170 pounds whats the ideal amount of protein I should be consuming to build more mass?

optimum nutrition has a "natural" variation with very few ingredient. there's also unflavored protein, but i can't remember the site.

you might be allergic to something. you can try other kinds of protein (pea protein, etc)

Why was this protein the automatic culprit??

Could it not have been caused by something else??

New meds?
New body wash?
Recent outdoor activities? (Hiking, camping, etc).

ON is reputable
BSN is reputable

Completely avoiding protein shakes isn't a terrible idea. They are quite convenient though. If you can hit all your macros/caloric goal from whole foods, more power to you.

I'd say 150-160 grams of protein.
