K so I know a day or 2 of rest is important between workouts but what if certain muscles aren't sore at all after more than 24 hours

Is it ok to work them muscles?

I can't seem to get that sore ripped muscle feeling in my biceps... Do I still need to rest them for more than 24 hours

soreness is just the surface symptom.

soreness and recovery don't necessarily correlate because most seasoned lifters don't even get sore the next day anymore, however that doesn't mean you're recovered

if you're hitting the muscle hard enough youll need the full two days to make the adaptations and recover fully to smash the muscle again, if you're good to go in one day you probably need more volume, intensity or both

soreness and growth don't really correlate either

48 hours between hitting the same muscle group? Or working out in general?

With my split I do back/biceps on Tuesday/Friday and I usually hit it hard enough that I'm decently sore until the next day. But when I say sore, I don't mean that "beginner workout can't move my arms" sore. Just noticeably sore.

Ya but that feeling means your muscles were ripped a lot... Not feeling that would mean your muscles didn't get ripped very much and therefore probably dosent need as much time to heal

Am I wrong here?

Should I just wait longer? I have read it can do more bad than good if you don't wait 48 hours between work outs... But i guess that's more for people who don't lift often or at all but I'm just getting back into it too so

Just keep 2 days between your workouts for the same muscle groups. That'll give your muscles enough time to recover.

You'll be able to tell a difference between resting 24 hours and 48 hours.

If you don't feel like you're getting a good enough arm workout, do crazy 8's to failure after your workout is done.
