Last night at the gym I was doing legs, decided to go heavy and I don't think I spaced out enough days for rest between my last day and yesterday ( I did legs last on Saturday and did it again on Monday). I was doing a sled pushing exercise where u put the weights on the sled and you push it. When I was pushing it, I felt a slight crack in my knee and it kind of hurt, but I stopped immediately as soon as I felt it. I iced it last night (Is that right or should I have done something else? bro advice appreciated?) I can walk fine it's just a pain in the ass because if i bend i in a slight way it keeps cracking, more so than my other knee.

Should I take a break from legs for a week, or just see how I feel next leg day? I'll be doing high reps for that legs day. I'm sore as fuck I don't think my knees are used to the stress

Sounds like a ligament sprain. Should get some manual joint testing done for ligament integrity by a pt but unless you have gross joint laxity it's probably not much. Avoid loading knees for a few weeks.

Start wearing rehbands. Took away all the *little problems* like flaring up or spraining.

This, you can still do high rep low weight stuff (if your form is good) after a week or so. But if it starts hurting, stop immediately. And don't do it if you *think* you're ready. Only continue leg workouts if you KNOW you're ready.

does/did it still hurt the day after or just when it happened?

when you stand up normally, does the affected leg feel weak/wobbly?

have trouble moving your knee in its full range of motion?

When I woke up this morning i was sore from the workout

i dont have trouble moving my leg in full range of motion but it feels like theres some pressure... I think I got a ligament sprain but im probably going to go to the doc tomorrow because I just wanna be safe

E: I've been icing my knee which has been helping a lot as of right now actually
