I tried smoking weed, and taking sleeping pills. Smoked until i passed out but i would wake up 45 minutes later and be wide awake.

Drank and even worked out. I can not sleep. I can not sleep.

My bestfriend died recently so i know that has been messing with me but i slowly accepted it.

Girl breaks up with me after like 5 days ago and now i just can't sleep.

Anyone know what i can do? I'm so damn tired mentally but i can not sleep.

I've already made an appointment with my doctor. I know i'm depressed but i dont care i just want to sleep

Any suggestions? I'm so pathetic right now. I need some real help. I'd help any person who feels like this. Fuck.

Oh yeah, i didnt sleep last night. Took a nap today for a good hour but that's it.

find yourself something to completely consume you as a distraction. An activity that 100% consumes your attention. GL

you need to exhaust yourself mentally AND physically, you need to keep yourself occupied for hours on end with something that will do those things, you will get tired, trust me ive been in the EXACT position as you, it is hard but you do get better...

this is also a good idea, hit that 8PM sleep, wake up 6-7am and keep a good schedule... turn this into the start of something good.

nothing is gonna really help. it sounds entirely emotional - anxiety, uncertainty about the future and confusion as well as upset from the past are bothering you.

your body will just exhaust itself and you will eventually sleep... you will also come to accept the loss as difficult as it may be. Keep your chin up my friend.

as for physically exerting yourself - this just sounds like a way to stress yourself out and make yourself stiff and sore after not have a good night's recovery. Also, exercising later in the evening makes it harder for many to sleep.

what you should do, is stay in bed at least for the normal hours you would sleep... follow good sleep hygiene and keep your eyes closed, lights off, etc.

I know it's pretty pathetic to ask people for help online.

I'm just the kind of person who shuts everyone out in RL and act like i'm the only person with the problem. I know it's wrong.

I just can't seem to get rid of this feeling and that is why i can't sleep.

I'm going to take all your words seriously and just take all your advice.

I'm sure some of you guys have been through this but i'm just a mentally weak person.

It's really tough on me.

I appreciate all your replies. I really do. I'm going to just go on a long long drive somewhere.
