if only obesity was a growing problem exclusive to America, the problem would have a much simpler fix. but obesity is a problem in all first world countries. a much larger % of people are obese now than they were 50, 100 years ago. it's more a sign of the times than anything. that makes it even trickier. JFK had a great vision, and physical education was one great potential relief to a real problem, but still to this day is ultimately failed by the education system. i mean, even in the video OP posted it seems the aim is "strength and happiness", seems almost militarized.

i remember liking phys ed all throughout elementary and high school, but truth be told i never knew why exactly fitness was so important until i learned for myself.

meh.
