searched up what peoples deadlift forms were on google/youtube just to see how it compares to how i was taught. found a few slightly different things

some recommend to tuck your chin down, others say keep your neck vertebra as straight as possible
some recommend a slight arch in your back, others say keep your back straight
saw some grip wider than shoulders, some at shoulder width, and some closer than shoulders

for the record i tuck my chin down, slightly arch my back, and keep a shoulder-width grip. never had any problems before, but being as i recently upped my deadlift weight, i want to be sure i'm doing it as safely and effectively as possible.

opinions on the matter?

@ OP

There will always be slight differences in form from person to person due to anatomical differences in each persons skeletal structure.

Personally. My feet are quite close together but point out a bit and my hands grip the bar only wide enough to not interfere with my knees.

I have a straight back because I can't actually arch it while in the bottom of the lift, otherwise I would. The longer your legs are relative to overall height, the more difficult it is to have an arched back. I have my neck up, looking forward. It's just what's most comfortable for me.

@bold i notice the same thing as well, can't arch it until i start to come up a little bit

thanks, i realize it'll be a little different for everybody, but i'd mostly like to know what everybody thinks and what they do and why. only started doing DLs 2 months ago, i think my form is decent but it's still something i could learn more about
