The school system is pretty different in Quebec
High School -> CEGEP (2 years) -> MedSchool

No need to do an undergrad thingy if you have good enough grades in CEGEP
And it's not the GPA system...its called R score

I did 0 hours of volunteering in High School/CEGEP
And I got into the only university that does not look at those :P (50% of the admission criterias were grades and the other 50% interview)

Did my 5 years of MedSchool
Then you have to apply to speciality residency or family medicine residency
Now they look at your grades, interviews again and your resume (was in the environnement committee and some other little things)

Great job
what speciality are you going for?
planning a fellowship or anything afterward?
Just remember to always be open minded.

I don't have a set speciality goal right now
I loved Oncology, but I want to teach so I really don't know

I talked to someone who does Intensive Care / teaches a lot / general internal medicine and it really looked like a cool lifestyle
So a fellowship about ICU care of burn victims so that I end up with a job like the one I just described would be pretty insanely fun

What are studying already? Biochem?
