Too much weight, you're probably engaging your shoulders to get it up.
Try sitting on an Incline Bench and curl up the weights from a dead hang.
The dead hang is what makes the shoulder feel like it's coming out of place or something
35lb isn't a lot for me on hammer curls, maybe it's cuz I normally don't do shoulders and then biceps right after. Felt really weird tho
