Based on past expeirence and common sense I know I won't really loose much strength/gains at all. Any I do loose will return quickly(within a month) but just out of curiosity has anyone here taken 2-3 weeks off from squats? If so how did u feel strength wise when u returned?
My right hip was hurting me every day all day for like 2 months, I suspsect it to be hip bursitis. Because as I said the pain was basically always present(hurt to touch and lay on) and def felt worst when doing squats. However was never bad enough to effect me negatively(only annoy me) I actually made great squat gains and a hit my long term pr goal of 315 ass to grass! During the 2 or so months the hip pain was present.
But I realized that if I keep over using it when it hurts it more than likely would turn into a more serious long term injury. Decided to stop until it healed 100%. It's been 2 weeks exactly and its probably 90% better but still not 100%. I suspect one more week will do the trick.
Also if anyone else had similar hip issues Lmk how it turned out.
