Hello health & fitness forum. I'd like to get into working out and getting into shape, not just being slim.
I'm a girl, 19, 5'3 or 5'4, and just weighed myself at 109 lbs. I do have self image issues and I'm honestly obsessed with keeping my weight at 103, so gaining 6 lbs is making me freak out. Yeah sorry typical girl here.

I realize that muscle weighs more than fat, so I won't be able to keep the 103 mentality. I would like to gain muscle, not just be scrawny. I'm looking for help on how to get started and what would be a good end result (for how much weight I can lift for squats and stuff like that). Of course I won't just stop working out when I meet that goal. I'm not looking to be a bodybuilder, just toned and have a nice butt and legs. :p

I can throw some fg to people who are willing to help me out.

any beginner routine should work, doesnt matter if youre a girl or guy

pick something you'd like to do and see yourself doing for a while, or just wait for some suggestions :o

Amazing. Keep us updated on the progress with vids and pics. I wanna see how thick, solid, tight you can get.

Seriously, do squats and lunges - lots of them. You will definitely be more than 103, but dat ass is worth it.

I would do high reps, lower weight to start out. You should focus on form, and probably just use the bar to start out. Maybe go for 15-20 reps per.

I would also recommend straight legged dead lifts, bench, and overhead press, but squats and lunges are by far the most important thing you can do as a girl.

Edit: You should eventually be able to squat 135 (45s on each side) for 15 or so reps, but I would assume that will take you a while. Work up slowly, and make sure you have good form so you don't injure yourself. You should probably be able to do BB lunges with about the same amount of weight based on what I've seen girls at the gym doing. It will probably take you a while to get there, so don't get discouraged. You will see results, but they will take a while.

You should probably also do ab work toward the beginning as well, and hip thrusts once you get the hang of squats and deadlifts (they will really help you get dat ass)
