I'm 20 years old, turing 21 soon. I had back problems 2 years ago of just straight soreness/tightness. It went away for over a year and suddenly came back within the last week and a half. I play baseball, so i swing a lot. However, it's not from that because the pain went away... (even tho it prob doesn't help). I started doing landline 180 this past month and I think it could be that...

So what can I do to help my back get better? I have been wearing a brace/belt thing recently... and I heat it before practice and ice after.

any tips?

also- i'm 6'4" 230lbs

do some core exercises or start lifting if you arent already (stretching is good too)

will improve posture and most likely alleviate the pain/tightness

I stretch like a mad man... all the time. I roll out (foam roller), stretch, loosen up hip flexors, etc.

which core exercise would be recommended? if you have the knowledge of this.. thnx

do you lift weights? the best core exercises are usually incorporated into routines (weighted squats and such)

else you can try doing ab exercises with different movements including obliques

I stress fractured my L4 playing baseball (hitting, used to have a batting cage in my yard). I'm also tall - it was caused by tight hip flexors and hamstrings. Could be that, you never know

you probably have bad posture, tight glutes/hamstrings or even underdeveloped, maybe you sit for too long throughout the day (which may hint/add to bad posture) etc. Could be a slew of things causing this; I have my own troubles with it. Especially when I get through with the work week, and all I want to do on the weekend is sleep/cook/play csgo lol

/e and as above, a weak core is probable too; I've had the same issue in the past myself
