Learned in class today

Testosterone levels are actually affected by your rest periods and X number of reps

study shows that 60-120 minutes of exorsize with 10-12 reps per set/ with 1 minutei break in between was far more affective that breaks lasting longer and lower repititions.


So 30 second-1 minute break

60-120 minutes of exorsize

10-12 reps

This fact also applies to your growth hormone in slightly different variations

we're talking about moderatly trained individuals, I think the "8-12 claus" started depending on your training level


If you have muscular/ skeletal adaptions and you're looking for optimal hypertrophy and protein synthesis. I would say 10-12, 30second-1 minute confimed.

well that makes sense.

but then again what is the purpose of training.

Would make sense if you are after Hypertrophy but if you are after pure power its not the way to go :).

Sorry I forgot to mention one thing, you must be working around 75% of your 1RM + to recieve maximal results.


anything below 65% will is just to light.
