anyone watched this?
really eye opening to me, even though documentaries are usually biased. I loved this one.

completely changed the way I'm eating.
I'm eating clean, not following a meal plan or anything, but clean.

nothing with added sugar..
literally nothing, I know I will eat stuff with added sugar but I'm limiting it to as little as possible if not any at all.

hoping this will further help my progress considering my diet before wasn't great to say the least bit

I felt really bad for the kids since they wanted to lose weight but didn't know how and no one was able to give them helpful advice. The parents were clueless with nutrition and were unable to get proper advice because the kids were to young to see nutritionists. Frustrating situation to be in. Demonizing sugar isn't the answer though. There needs to be nutrition classes in school to give kids at least a basic understanding.

Explain why we need processed sugars. I won't throw the whole category under the bus as so many thoughtless people have.

It is not something that provides health benefits at all, it corrodes teeth, creates ldl-cholesterol when eaten with poor - manufactured fats and a massive list of other potential harmful effects.

Having said that, I still occasionally eat "sweets", but the key is occasionally.

If/when I have children of my own, sugar will be massively limited - just as any other highly addictive substance would be.

In moderation sugar is fine. Sat. fats raise ldl cholesterol. Is it a necessary add? No since it's just adding more calories which can lead people to gain weight if they don't watch their calorie intake.

*sigh*
more people believing the pseudoscience and myopic view of taubes, Ludwig, etc

that said, if you absolutely felt the need to go towards some sort of extreme, sure, I can concede low cho would be better than its counterparts.

explain,

you're disagreeing with the view points on sugar?
and it's addiction.
