Is this enough training for me to become a good fighter? And by good I mean someone who is above average. One who can handle himself very well in a fight.

I train Muay Thai 2x a week and Jiu-Jitsu 1x a week. In addition to that I workout 4x a week strength training.

My week looks like this:

Sunday: Off
Monday: Gym followed by Muay Thai
Tuesday: Gym
Wednesday: Jiu Jitsu
Thursday: Gym followed by Muay Thai
Friday: Gym
Saturday Off

So, like I said. Twice Muay Thai; once Jiu Jitsu and four times gym.

Opinions...

Depends what you consider a good fighter... With this you'll most likely be a better "fighter" than any random you see on the streets for sure.. (Given your bjj and mt aren't shit lessons from a random aswell)

fighting

part training your mind

part training your body

part natural instinct/talent, which can be honed through training

to be a good fighter depends on more than just training alone, depends on how you learn

nope.. your only training twice a week. quite honestly you would be a very shitty fighter but.. BUT you would be a better fighter than most people on the street just on the fact you have an idea of how to actually fight

If you want to be good you should be training daily.

^^ these, pretty much.

It depends on how you're qualifying "good." On that kind of schedule, you're already above the skill level of most "in the wild" (read: drunk fratbro) encounters.

Now, good enough to *compete*? You'd need to crank it up a couple of notches, which, depending on your other responsibilities, may or may not be feasible.
