I've.been going to bed at 3-5am sleeping for 6-8 hours, if i change my sleep schedule to be in bed at midnight the latest will i notice any changes?

Rising and falling with the sun will make you more rested.

More importantly: going to bed at same time every night and waking up at same time will make you feel more rested.

effects me big time. been going to bed at 5 am lately (lulz) and feel like chit every time i go to the gym even tho i sleep 8 hrs
gona have to go back to reg hours

Yeah cortisol is released around 4am, catabolic stress hormone.
Drink a protein shake around that time to decrease proteolytic effects of cortisol.

I believe that would be correct.

I'm another one being a dumbass and staying up until like 4-5AM. I sleep well until the sun rises and then I wake up a lot and don't feel super rested.

I could put something over my windows to totally block the light, but the reality is I need to fix my damn sleep schedule.

If you get to sleep and wake at normal hours, you should feel a bit better.
