Okay so I've been lifting since February , so about 10 months.
I'm 150 and usually rep with these numbers
Squat - 170
Bench - 130/135
OHP - 85
Deadlift - 225
BoR - 100/115

I'm going to begin the strength training today because I really want to see my numbers go up, and you are supposed to up the weight by 5 each workout for each lift. Should I start with the bar for every exercise and work my way up from there ? Or just start with a lower weight such as 95 for bench and like 135 for squats so I dont plateau as quickly. Or do I stick with my weight I'm using now bad move up from there?

I like madcows 5x5

But yeah a weight you can do easily for the first few weeks to "ramp" up.

Start with the weight you can complete the full workout of 5x5. If you can't do 5x5 with that weight then you started too heavy.

The main thing is to eat enough and hey enough sleep. The program is designed that way for a reason. Yes, you'll plateau eventually but there's steps to take when that happens.

Okay I'll start a little lighter than what I'm at , I can easily do my weights right now for 5x5, but it's better safe than sorry.

I went from a 5 day split to stronglifts 5x5 and I'll tell ya, I had almost no progress on stronglifts. Maybe I just Needed more time to adjust to the lifting frequency or maybe my body just couldn't handle it, I don't know. But after about a month I made no progress.

But maybe you'll find more success. My squat/Bench/ohp were a bit better than yours but deadlift was the same.

We'll find out. I don't think I'll plateau I'm starting at a fairly light weight . Nothing insane

I started out using my normal lifting weights so maybe that was the problem.
