So I've been contemplating if I should compete or not. Even if I don't win or don't even make it to the top 10 it'll be interesting just to see how fit I can get under correct guidance, 12 weeks of nazi dieting, possible uses of certain types of orange juice and just in general how good I'd look with a proper tan and stage lighting. But of course I'd like to win.

Anyone here with experience and knows where I can/should compete? Men's Physique? Men's Fitness? Body Fitness? Athletic Fitness? soo many.. some go by height (like sub-174cm, sub 178cm etc) and some go by weight (like sub-80kg) then there's competitions set by age (junior/senior..)

I'm 183cm and weigh 86kg, age 21. I'm sure most of you guys know how I look so won't post any pics (unless you guys want some  )

I've looked at the physique of some national, European and World champions and IMO they don't look more than a glass of orange juice or two away from my physique. but maybe those are just baby classes (under 174cm or under 75kg etc) and my glorious-over-six-foot-height might put me in a completely different class where everyone is much bigger

from my own knowledge it is sometimes separated into weight classes, but a certain weight class eg. 85-90kg can have a height restriction. 183cm and 86kg are within an average range so I'm sure you could compete in a mainstream class

You'd be surprised how many in the fitness industry are under 178 and under 174..

It is a lot easier to pack muscle onto a smaller frame, that's probably why. But I imagine scandinavia the average is around 181

Well obviously not just those foods but you get what I mean. No one eats a strict diet every single day every single week every single year and when you bulk / maintain you can have cheat meals every now and then. I have never in my entire life gone more than 2 weeks eating clean food. So what if I ate 12 weeks of nothing but clean food?

I'm carving out a sixpack by eating at burger king 4 times a week. Today for instance.. 4 chicken salsas + fries after workout and right now I'm eating 4 french baguettes with Nutella ^^

Yesterday I had pizza and a box of chocolates. Still losing dat weight.

but during the last 12 weeks pre contest you've gotta eat nothing but 100% clean food nohom sayin.

FYI: A friend of mine who competed a couple years back ate nothing but fish, broccoli and coffee the last 4-6 weeks as per request of his PT. He went on to win a gold medal in his class. The diet made him so hungry he'd get the shakes and tried to eat the grains of coffee from the bottom of his cup.

Not worth it.
Unhealthy
Won't fit your clothes
Sacrifice a lot

What do you gain in the end? A great physique? You already have a good physique, why do all of the above?
