why do you see some people doing deadlifts with one hand facing front and one facing back?

prevent the bar from rolling in your hand, reinforcing your grip

rotation forces from 1 hand cancel the other, so you dont end up with the C grip with all fingers stretched out

pretty much this.

I use overhand grip with lighter weights (bar, 60kg, 100kg and some times 120kg) and then I use over/under alternating hand grip for weights above 120kg as it would get too heavy/difficult to lift with double over hand at this point.

I read somewhere you can tear your.bicepts with the over under grip so i just use.double over everytime, even with my 1rm i.never feel like the bar slips, but i.dont do touch n go idk train grip stremgngth

E/ i also have pretty weak arms (esp bicepts) compared to the rest of my body

if you can fully extend your elbow without tearing your bicep, like a normal person, you wont tear your bicep unless you jerk the bar off the ground while contracting your bicep in an attempt to curl the deadlift
