Hey guys, first post here. I've been getting back into a nice cardio program and I'm looking for suggestions on a protein supplement just to add ~30 grams or so to my diet a day. I've done some research and it seems like a whey protein is the best option. As of now I'm considering going with Optimum Nutrition's line of wheys, 5lbs for $57ish.

Was hoping for some insight on any protein powders more focused for ensuring enough protein in my diet than anything else. Also, what online sites do people use? Does anyone know of a better price ratio for O.N. than the 5lb / ~$57?

Any insight would greatly be appreciated! Thanks a lot.

ON is all i use.
Not saying they're the only reliable company, but they certainly are reliable...and delicious!

what flavors you get? i only ever tried vanilla and chocolate, and didn't like either, had a bitter taste

I've had Chocolate, cookies and cream, and strawberry.

I would not even take strawberry again if it was free. no thanks. It was SO awful.

Both chocolate and cookies and cream are delicious.

I just always go with chocolate, it tastes great and I never get sick of it.

Dont start taking brotein powders. Theyre a waste of money, you wont notice a difference, and in reality most of them are complete sh*t.

I like to cook up a couple pounds of chicken, turkey, tri tip, or whatever meat you like and slice it up and put it in ziplocks in the fridge. Grab a few pieces when hungry, grab a few pieces after working out, etc.

protein shake with water doesnt take 90 mins to be absorbed into the bloodstream tho
