Is Hawaii a generally overweight state?

I sell life insurance to people that live in the states and out of the all the cases I've sold so far, the ones from Hawaii generally seem to be extremely obese.
Short stature and 250+lbs.

Very consistent in men and women...

The native peeps I've met (which, admittedly, is a small cross-section) ran in two sizes:

- young / still active / low body fat %
- older / not active / Gabriel Iglesias DAAAAAMN! size :P

That's what I was under the impression it might be.

You're either 1 of 2 categories; huge or somewhat fit.

E/ I hope nobody takes this as me bashing on Hawaiians; I'm simply curious.

Most of the Pacific Islanders I've met (Hawai'ians, Samoans, Tongans) tend to be big people. Seems that it ain't no thang in their cultures, so they just do how they do.

Interesting. I haven't seen a trend in any other states yet but I think I understand why.

I don't know a whole lot about the Hawaiian culture, but from what I've seen and read on social media etc, seems like they just enjoy their time eating and being with family etc

One of m'mates has family out on the big island. At family gatherings, the mantra isn't "eat 'til you're full," but "eat until you're TIRED." Ha.

Oh, here's another one for you: IIRC, I think it's in Filipino culture that a fat wife is FAVORABLE. Shows you have the income to keep her fed. ;)
