So me and my buddy have been going 5 days a week. I been lifting for about 8 months and he just joined me a around 2-3 months ago. I'm 17 in February, he's 19 in January. We want to start strength training on Monday after thanksgiving break... Because we both want to get our weight up on a lot of movements especially OHP and bench press. Question is , can we hit cardio two times a week and go the 3 for strength training?

Monday : 5x5 & Heavy Abs
Tuesday : Cardio HIIT
Wednesday : 5x5 Heavy Abs
Thursday : Cardio HIIT
Friday : 5x5 Heavy Abs

Does the routine look decent or is abs 3x a week overboard? Should I hit them twice on the cardio days instead?

if u must id do cardio on lifting days, esp since its HIIT cardio

keep your legs fresh on off days
