just curious, why do u guys work out? and what started u guys working out?

health?
looks?
hobby/fun?

im sure theres been threads like this but im just wondering


i do it mostly for the health/hobby reason to pass time. looks are just a benefit to me i guess (although still somewhat a fatty). makes u feel good after working out also.
i started in high school cuz i was weak fat and unhappy (used to get made fun of slightly cuz of my weight) and my friends started to workout as well.

Hobby/Fun - I don't actually play any video games anymore other than a match of Dota every once in a long while. I wanted something productive to take the time I used to play video games. It's been great! Feel guilty when I don't go now.

Also the feels of hitting personal goals. Iv been working out for about 7 months or so now. Could barley push 95 pounds for 5 on the bench when i first started. Put up a fairly easy 225 yesterday , the feeling was great. Also really enjoy just going if you are having a shit time and just pulling deadlifts.

Got dumped; said she liked her guys "bigger". She ended up rebounding with a chubster and they're together still.

Originally it was to get her back, then it was to prove to her what she's missing out on; now it's a lifestyle and I use it to increase my strength/agility in regards to my sport specific goals.

Friends made me do it, but then I started to progress and really started to like it (I hated it for a while). Now it's more of a hobby/self improvement.. You can always improve, which is fun. I also want to lose weight still, and I have eventual strength goals I want to hit.
