If you can't walk comfortably on it after 30-60 minutes, it's probably a good idea to get it checked on by a physician.
I've had all kinds of ankle injuries from basketball and one mistake you don't want to wait is waiting too long. The first 24 or even 72 hours are very important in the healing process. I once had torn two ligaments and broken a bone -- 9 months until I could jog again even with physiotherapy directed toward me playing as a varisty university athlete. That's your worst case scenario, but because you never know, it never hurts to get a diagnosis.
