I'm having troubles progressing lately due to inconsistency and some RL shit going on.

Going to make the switch over and do powerlifting 5/3/1. Anyone have great progress with this? Going up to 181 and competing in Feb so hoping to put 100+ on my total before then with the 15 pound weight increase.

One of the homies is on a bulk right now; wants to move up weight classes for jitz tournaments. Next weight bracket doesn't have as many people rolling. ;)

Powerlifting. I used to do judo but the competitive tournaments are too far away for judo right meow.

Ive been on 5/3/1 for a couple months and it is definitely increasing my strength.

I tried 5/3/1 but found the volume to be lacking for my taste.

Yah it's a little low on volume but I much prefer the lower 3-5 rep ranges. Plus I'll do 5+ reps on the last set (for the 5/ portion) and on the 3 day I do some heavy ~85-90% singles after my last set.

I'm only one week in to his 5/3/1 powerlifting variation so we shall see. I'm going to give it 3-4 cycles to see if it brings me up from my little stall.
