When I was lifting (cutting), I was eating roughly 2,300 calories. But I recently broke my ankle and tore all the ligaments and did something to a tendon. Literally stuck in a chair with my foot elevated 24/7 for awhile.

What should I aim for calorie wise? And macro wise?

You're just looking to maintain what you currently have right?

If possible keep cutting some, but not at the expense of losing muscle.

I'd eat about 5k cals if I were you. Up the fats/proteins for body repair hard. Keep carbs to a min. You want energy but you want to keep the carbs low. That way your body will not store a lot of fat and maybe even maintain. Should equal a quicker full recovery along with some muscle gain.

you don't up calories and the body magically repairs faster.

Thanks liron.

Had my follow up after the MRI today finally. Kinda cool getting to see all the torn ligaments. Found out I have a crazy amount of bone bruising, which is gonna add an additional 2-4 weeks of PT. But also some kind of cartilage issue? Don't remember the name of it. But the bones scraping against each other scraped off most of the cartilage on the tip of the bone that connects to my foot. Looks like it's gonna be awhile before I can do leg day  puts a damper on the firedepartment
