I want to start getting into hiking and am looking for a pack that can double as a backup. I would prefer something from Osprey but I am not sure which one would fit the bill.
I guess a day pack that could double as a backpack for school? Mantra 36 maybe.

I got the Gregory miwok 44 for hiking. I prefer it to osprey since the large size has a longer back which fits me better than the largest size of Osprey.
I do have an Osprey talon 22 though that I use for day to day use. It gets the job done.

Glad you made a thread for this. I myself was looking for a nice quality backpack that I could use for school, but could also take it hiking.
Can't seem to find a decent one that I like though.

I have an osprey 28 that I like a lot. It's a little too small for me but I'm 6-2 270. I liked everything else a lot, it's really well designed.
