I'm doing a lot of mma training in the evenings now and have pretty much stopped lifting over the last couple of months. Will start doing some strength and conditioning stuff as well 3 days a week in the morning but I'm looking to add in 1 day of hypertrophy as well, probably on saturday.

I love mma training, planning to go to some small time Bjj comps but that's about as serious as I'm taking it. I just like the fitness/agility aspect of it. I'm starting to look like I don't lift though and I want to change that.
So I really only have 1 day I could get a decent hypertrophy workout in and I'm wondering what kind of routine I could do? I know 1 day isn't ideal but it's all I have so hit me with your best ideas!

Can't really, it's not pure strength training, it's circuit training with weights and a lot of body movements. Pure strength training would take too much out of me for classes and hypertrophy wouldn't help with movement for bjj.
Just wondering if it's possible, or even worthwhile, doing 1 day a week pure hypertrophy

I dont think it will really do anything...but i mean, lifting is always better than not lifting.

You're into mma.
Honestly, how do you want hypertrophy to benefit to that? and by 1 day a week only.

Stick to some kind of strenght training/explosive workouts, speed and power and use that for your fights.

You can't find 30-45 minutes Monday Wednesday Friday?

you'll still put on muscle with the workouts you're doing now as long as you're at a calorie surplus

people act like hypertrophy is strictly limited to 10-12 reps lol
