Do any of you use this method of periodization?

If so, what do you use it to prepare for?

How many weeks do you continue this periodization until switching or competing?

in theory what's stopping you from running it repeatedly without switching or competing? you can train with it if it keeps you motivated because you're hitting PR's on a schedule in training. i would personally stick to linear periodization until you're actually making zero progress (primary muscle groups run out of gains)

My Professor is Dr. Mike Zourdos and he is big on DUP. He is a great guy and very knowledgable. In fact, we have a class dedicated to just learning about basic periodization and DUP. Check him out on youtube to hear what he has to say about it

"Do you use this method of periodization?"
Personally, not at the moment. I'm sure I could find a way to tailor the program to Weightlifting, but at the time, I am following a traditional periodization model, more similar to the work of Dr. Mike Stone.

"What do you use it to prepare for?"
My professor worked with bodybuilders and powerlifters. To my knowledge he doesn't apply DUP or have any clients in other sports such as soccer, tennis, golf, weightlifting, etc.

"How many weeks do you continue this periodization until switching or competing?"
Not exactly sure what this is asking. You would do DUP forever, just as others do traditional Periodization forever. There is an off season, pre season, in season, and transitions (Active rest), just like any other periodization model. There is also a taper prior to a competition.
