there are some deadlift and p chain workouts videos that explain why mass sumo deads are not the way to go, but they are a great exdercise that too few people use imho

unconventional deads or just unconventional lifts? a lot of guys like doing deads from a slightly raised surface. i like it but that's just me.

sumo = unfortunately i have trouble with sumo deads. my knees have been somewhat screwed up by sports and for some reason it isn't a good feeling for me. i can do them but i walk away wanting to bite someone in the neck :(

Sumo deadlifts are fine, generally depending on your height they will be more comfortable than traditional deads.

This. Omar Isuf has a video out that goes over the advantages/disadvantages of each form based off height and limb length (legs and arms).

I personally am not a fan of sumo, as it pulls funny in my left hip.

i just can't get my body into a proper position from the first pull, if my ass is above my knees i'm basically parallel to the floor (my back is) even though shoulder blades are behind the bar, and arms are vertical, so are shins. my legs just shoot up if i'm lifting heavy

i'm glad to hear that! based on wendlers chart, i have long ass legs, and an average torso/arm length
