If you're using Chrome, it's a chrome issue and not a Jsp issue.

Here is the fix that worked for me:

1) Type this in the address bar as a webpage;    chrome://flags/
2) Hit Enter
3) Locate Disable DirectWrite on the page
4) Click Enable
5) Restart Chrome. Simply close out and re-open.
