Are there any studies out there comparing generic fish oil to branded pills?

Idk about studies but I trust the NOW brand and all of their products have been excellent (including this one)

I've compared this one to other fish oils and you definitely get the most bang for your buck (most other fish oils have like 1000mg of a proprietary fish oil blend that only consists of 50 EPA and 50 DHA if that, meaning it has a ton of fillers)

Also another thing I noticed is that these are coated so they do not taste or smell fishy and you don't get the fishy burps like many other fish oils

Pretty much 1 of these softgels = the same amount of DHA/EPA in 4-5x of the generic ones from a supermarket or whatever

What about flaxseed or other oil tabs?

Synthetic fish oil is linked to prostate cancer.

I haven't really looked into other oils and I'm not sure on the legitimacy of that statement either...seems many things could contribute to prostate cancer not fish oil alone, if anything I would expect fish oil to counteract it, but I haven't done enough research to say one way or another
