What's the best supplement or supplements for me at this point? I just started lifting this week after a big hiatus. I used to train heavily for many years, but as time goes on products change so I wanted to get up to speed.

Here is my log: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=71267776&f=60

I am not going to start taking anything right away unless told otherwise. What do you guys think would be the best for me? I used to do the whole pre-workout drink, post workout protein and take my vitamins (still taking these obv). I don't want to dump alot of money into supplements each month nor do I want a pre-workout drink. I probably will get some protein though. So, besides that, what would you guys recommend to help my progress? Anything new out there that's pretty good?

Thanks in advance.

In bodybuilding, athletes wishing to lose fat use drugs which are purportedly thermogenic to increase their basal metabolic rate, thereby increasing their energy expenditure. Caffeineand ephedrine are commonly used for this purpose. 2,4-Dinitrophenol (DNP) is a very dangerous thermogenic drug used for fat loss; it will give a dose-dependant increase in body temperature, to the point where it can induce death by hyperthermia. It works as amitochondrial oxidative phosphorylationuncoupler, disrupting the mitochondrial electron transport chain. This stops the mitochondria from producing adenosine triphosphate, releasing energy as heat

get a protein supp if you have trouble reaching .82-1g protein per lb (bodyweight) with regular foods. uhh creatine is useful, beta-alanine is useful.. they're both pretty cheap. that's pretty much the essential, you won't need anything else. no legal supps will radically advance your rate of progress.

make sure to count your macros and stay consistent!
