Here's a tl;dr version of a csb..
I started Olympic Weightlifting a month ago. With a good lifting background, I thought it was a good idea to start something new.. I got hooked really fast.
At first, I could not even keep 90lbs overhead with a snatch grip and I could not clean more than 185lbs. Getting used to these movements isn't easy.
Today I PR'd my Snatch at 215 with 3 attempts at 220 where I could get it easily overhead, but my shoulders were too tired to support it as I started the overhead squat.
For the jerk, I PR'd at 280 today, with 2 attempts at 285 where my core was too tired to absorb the shock at the bottom of the front squat.
I have a friendly meet next weekend where my gym is going to compete against another gym close to where we are located. I hope to Snatch 225 and CnJ 290 on my last attempts.
I will try to get some vids of the meet to upload them here. My coaches always take videos of every lifts so it should not be too hard to get.
It's a journey of a thousand lifts, and it just begun.
