pleaded guilty to judge and requested a lower fine.

he gave me community service for 41 hours and a 60 dollar fine.

You cannot have a trial the same day. They said if you plead not guilty that Id have to be scheduled and the cop will be notified of the date.

now if then he does not show up to that date, they will dismiss your case.

I will not do this for my next ticket. Im going to plead not guilty and request a lower fine to the judge on the trial and say my life story.

should be good next time, will let you know.

For now, i have 41 hours of community service that i paid 60 bucks to attend for free. FML

HAve a nice day bros.

remember to plead not guilty and then go to trial. If the cop isnt there they will dismiss. If hes there u can prove you were wronged or give your life story and ask for a lower fine (im doing this on my next ticket)

E:
My speeding ticket (first ticket) is 397 bucks btw. Instead of paying that i have 41 hours of community service and a 60 bucks reg fee

my 2nd ticket is a crossing double yellow (carpool lane). 490 bucks. im saying not guilty for this one.

41 hours community service is a week of work, you got fined like ~$1,260

What are the chances of an officer of the law to not show up to court? Its probably 1/3 of their job

And plus, if the officer did show up and you're still found guilty, I believe the punishment will be harsher.

That would make sense, but I have no clue if that is actually a thing.

yes i can pay the full amount anytime, id have to drive 2 hours in traffic back to the city where i was pulled over.

They do not give refunds on the 60 reg fee's for community service.

so my total would be gas to get there and 397+60 = no ty

I will quote the officer in my courtroom this morning.
