Was a 445 Single. Got 425 same depth but didn't record it because I was pretty confident I was gonna get this :(.

Anyways I know it's not ATG but any form critiques etc? Please some embed

only thing I'd recommend is try looking up to the ceiling when you squat, it may help with that balance issue you had with your back wobbling right before failure. It kinda seemed like the weight buckled your upper shoulders, sunk in and the weight came forward into your neck. I've had the same thing happen back in the day when I went to the gym. It otherwise seemed kinda like you had the strength to get the weight back up.

Sometimes focusing more on the actual technique can work wonders. Exactly as the above post mentioned; you seemed capable of the 445 lb PR. I would suggest refocusing; start with lower weights, have a more solid technique, get comfortable with it and go from there.

Other than that, I think your foot spacing was good; I do it the same way also.

^^ I don't think he's uncomfortable with his technique or needs to do a lower weight to work on it..

The advice about looking up when you're going up could be helpful perhaps. But looked solid and then u just buckled, was a terrible looking fail, if you're going to fail still try and maintain form :p lol

And push your knees out when you squat!

Don't look up at the ceiling.

Work on hip strength so your knees don't cave. You lose a lot of torque when they collapse.

Other than that, back to training strength and you'll blow it out of the water in 5 weeks np

Thanks guys  I have always had issues with that minor caving of the knees, have been doing corrective work to get them better and better!

The point I'm making is keep your head up so the bar doesn't come forward on your neck, which is why you failed. It's a balance thing. Watch the video over and pay close attention to his shoulders, and the bars location.

Another possible problem, is how you hold the bar. If you grab the barb outright sometimes when you exert all the energy to lift, your arms are actually pulling the bar down into your shoulders, which makes it even harder. I don't know if you do that or not. But it's something to consider.

The things he points out in his videos that he did wrong, I also do. And it seems like you have an issue with your balance shifting forward. Keeping your head up can help with it. It's worth a try.

I agree with both of those points, you are right too I actually got so hyped up I may have been pulling the bar down into my back. Good point, and I noticed the neck/trap roll with my head looking forward as well. Thanks man.
