Getting back into lifting. How many times per muscle group per week is it optimal to get best results? I will work out Mon-Fri 2 hours per day.

I.e. -

Mon - Chest
Tues - Back
Weds - Legs
Thurs - Bi/Tri
Fri - Shoulders

Or

Mon - Chest/shoulders/tri
Tues - bi/back
Weds - leg/ab
Thurs - chest/shoulders/tri
Fri - bi/back

Better to do each muscle group once and rest or compliment/2× per week?

depends how far into lifting you are, if you're a beginner lifting 135lbs for squats you can train that 2-3x a week no problem and it would be better, if you're lifting an absurd amount of weight you need more time to recover.

if you're schedule is 5 days in a row a push pull legs doesn't look too good...

maybe go for upper lower mon/tues/thurs/fri rest on wed?

I've seen 100lb girls squat that just fine
