My friend lives in China and she suffered a bad leg injury that has left her with a quarter sized scar that she wants to get rid of. She may eventually come to America for treatment, but at the moment she would like to know if I could send her some creams or ointments to help heal the scar. I've Googled and found vit E, cocoa butter, aloe vera, but am unsure about other scar removal creams/products. Does anyone have any experience with these removal products? Will they exacerbate her scar?

p.s. I would call dermatologists myself, but I'm also currently in China but will return 8/4...

Thanks

Honestly the only thing cheap thing that is going to help is rubbing the scars with any type of non greasy cream for like 5 minutes each day to loosen up the scar tissue.

The only other thing that will help is accutane, and that works by stripping off mass layers of skin. But the side effects are almost not worth it.

Then if you have thousands to drop, there is intense pulse light therapy....this is painful and expensive. It feels like somebody is snapping you in the face with a rubber band hundreds of times.

Time is the #1 healer.

idk if that helps. lol i had this quote saved in the d2jsp notepad its from 2+ yrs ago jesus

so apparently it hasn't scarred yet, but it's still healing but it's already the size of a quarter, I can upload that picture later when she sends the photo

The scar will stay there forever after the scab heals.

Give Bio-Oil a try. I've used it on a few minor scars with great success, and I know someone who used it on a surgery caused scar and it helped quite a bit.
It's pretty inexpensive and you can get it at most any drug store or Costco.

Why doesn't she go to a Chinese doctor?
