He gets his point across, and is generally correct.
Pretty oversimplified in some regards though.. and sometimes contradicts himself, such as "No food directly damages your health" followed by claiming that in moderation these foods won't damage your health.. so it's not true at all they won't when consumed in higher levels. Examples, that he even gave, such as fructose and trans fat for instance are exemplary. It's true that health minded lifters and such will probably not consume enough fructose, trans fat, etc to make a difference.. but if you apply this to the average american, they will CERTAINLY consume more than enough of either/both of those to cause deleterious effects, with ease. It's not incredibly hard for people to reach the levels needed to cause adverse LDL/ApoB/TG effects.
One thing I can say though, the adverse health effects from being obese/overweight are much more noxious than consuming even an excess of these "bad" foods; not to mention the wonderful health benefits of lifting itself. Also, I'm simply nitpicking just a little bit, but as a whole, he's right. It's just sometimes, I think oversimplification can cause problems.. especially if someone took away from this it's okay to suck down massive amounts of shit, as it's essentially "unattainable" to reach the levels needed to cause problems. Moderation is key ofc. Apropos the idea that certain foods are literally toxic themselves though, that list is strikingly short, and overstated, so I see why he tries to strike that down.
