Broke up with my girlfriend of 4 years, 2 days ago.

The hard part is that we didn't break up over a fight or not loving each other. Rather, we both love each other a lot and have tons of fun.
The reason we broke up was because we were incompatible in other ways. Religion, politics, family etc etc

Shit blows man. She honestly meant the world to me and it feels as if I don't have have my own "individual" side anymore. Instead, because I had done it so many times before, I have always thought of myself as a pair, a couple.
Way weird to now have to learn to function as a single individual now. Way weird

It was a mutual decision to break up.

We both know that we aren't "perfect" for each other, and there is nothing wrong with 2 intelligent people being real with themselves and their other half.


It's just weird as fuck because I spent most of my time with her because she is/was also one of my best friends.
I'm not pissed or anything, and I'm not going to change just to try stay with her. But we did have sex over 300 times without a condom. Most frequently, still early enough to allow possibility for inpregnation.

Yeah man it is. Like I know it had to be done, but it doesn't feel that way. On top of that I keep asking myself "What do I like?", instead of "What do WE like?", and I don't know the answer! Feels weird
