Which way is better for cardio?

Power Walking on flat/incline floor (longer duration)

Or

Running on same floor (shorter duration)

yo holmes, Use the elliptical exercise machine for best output. Also g, imo, running will be more effective for conditioning, strength and weight loss, but walking is safer and less harsh on body. And can be just as effective with an incorporation of full body exercises, (with or without weights), as well. good luck a.

I'm a fan of low impact cardio for longevity. Running only if you're actually focused on running as a sport, or for short sprint HIIT workouts.

Unless actually training for some event that requires distance or training for hiking or whatever I have personally found just pumping 30-60 mins of no rest activity to be far better for me and vastly more interesting.

Pumping meaning walking? Or lifting weights?

Kettlebell movements with little to no rest between movements done in circuit. Or body weight exercises with zero reset, burpees into jumping jacks into air squats into flutterkicks or whatever you please, but just make sure its high heart rate, no rest.

Keep the heart pumping and lungs working.

In gym? Never run there, set the threadmill to incline and walk fast. Mix that up with elliptical. Never set resistance high when you are doing cardio, that defeats the purpose. Running is the best outdoors.I wouldn't overdo though ( 2x per week max). What I also love outdoors is rope skipping, easy on joints and very effective.

I highly recommend running outdoors if you are capable, particularly on non paved trails.

Do what you enjoy. Try to pick an exercise with a good stimulus to fatigue ratio. Low intensity cardio is good, jogging, swimming, elliptical…

It’s all good, if you enjoy it.
