I can only speak from my experience...
When I was cutting on 1800, I gained in my lifts (idk about mass)
But I used to eat whatever the fuck I wanna eat, srs.
Rare I'd get over 100g protein/day.
One day I remember, I had 1100 or 1200 in chocolate then 600 with some frozen shitty food.
ANYWAY. When I come out the army I'll have all dat money in bank, 23-24y/o and I'm gonna have like a year of JUST lifting and eating right. No job or anything just dedicated to bulking. Aswell as some travel/spending money.

Then I'll get a job to maintain my bank funds ahaha.
