Hey man so over the past 3 months I have made some pretty awesome progress but my gym membership expired, and I am currently working 55+ hours per week and its awkward hours, so i dont have much time for the gym.

So i was wondering if you had any tips to preserve muscle mass before i can hit the gym back at the end of august when i move back to school? I have a pull up bar i can work with so i have been doing some chair dips / variations of pushups / chin ups / pullups twice a week.

Raynor-

What drives you everyday to continue to diet and lift?

Surely, someone like you must have hit thousands of plateaus and hard spots in your career as a lifter and professional trainer, but what keeps you motivated?

well to be completely honest, I was born with a naturally high resolve. I tend to always be able to do anything that I want to do without laziness or avoidance setting in. This is just a natural gift that I have. So basically I tell myself that it needs to get done, so therefore I do it. Sure, sometimes it really sucks when you are tired and have had a really long week/month/year (lol) but when it comes down to it, sheer instinct and willpower to do what needs to get done triumphs for me.

No camera at the moment...been using a low quality crap pre-paid phone for the last few months...however once medical school is finished I might actually have enough time to do a video or two.

I feel so damn small after being sick for a whole week, this is almost everytime after being sick.

Do I really loose any much muscle-mass or something? ^^

Mostly psychological. Let your body recuperate and you will be fine afterwards. Part of your fullness will be gone from lack of blood-pump as well as glycogen stores etc.

Good question. It depends on how much I take on in the next semester. With everything planned the way it is, I can graduate before 2012 which would be amazing. However I might prolong things because of how bogged down I am getting towards the end. Also I need more money unfortunately so I might have to work more.
